VINTAGE ~~For your pleasure is this RARE find!   Dating from the 1950's- 60's era is this Helena Rubenstein, pristine, gold lame' compact and lipstick set.  This set is in its original condition, has never been used.  Helena Rubenstein was an
entrepreneur who started her cosmetics empire in Europe in 1902 and moved to New York
at the outbreak of World War I.  She opened her first salon in 1915 which was the beginning of a chain across the country.  She used effective marketing, luxurious packaging and celebrity endorsements to become one of the richest women in the world.
Ladies in the fifties and sixties regularly carried powder and lipstick in their purse to 'freshen up'.  This set is in original vintage condition.  It contains a beautiful golden floral designed compact with mirror, powder and puff.  The shade of the powder is "Illumination Radiant Peach", as listed on the compact's attached label. The matching lipstick  is "Illumination Lumina Peach".
As seen in the photos, neither the powder nor lipstick have been used.  The gold lame' fabric  case, measuring approximately 2 3/4"  x 3" was  designed to hold the items securely, while looking extremely fashionable, luxurious and eye-catching.
