DESCRIPTION:This real-photo postcard shows "Captain Cook's Monument / Waimea, Kauai." Pictured is the memorial, created in 1928, which commemorated the 150th anniversary of Capt. James Cook's landing on the island. This postcard pre-dates statehood, when the islands were part of the Hawaiian Territory.

Crisp edges. Light wear to the corners. Dried glue and some traces of paper on the back of the postcard.
